I am an Italian rock fan and gig collector too ! I am huge fan of English rock band FREE and recently i get a message by a fan who says this: I saw them (FREE) at the Catacombs Wolverhampton (I know FREE played Catacombs in Wolverhampton 22 December 1969), and then a few weeks later I saw them at The Civic Hall supporting The Who . It was awesome , When the who started playing Magic Bus they were joined by Free , it was amazing two sets of drums etc and it went on for the best part of 20 minutes.
Anyway I have no idea if fan memory are right and if ever FREE and WHO played on the same bill in Wolverhampton Civi Hall in 1969 or 1970 (or perhaps before in 1968). Thanks for you kindly attention and help too !
